Deer skull decorated for Christmas hanging in a red wallIt’s infamously difficult to shop for avid hunters. They can be very particular about the products they use, and hunting gear isn’t exactly cheap. Aside from these obstacles, most hunters like to choose their own gear including pants, jackets, guns, ammunition, boots and gloves. Finding gifts for the hunter in your life might be difficult, but it isn’t impossible. Here’s a list of hunting-themed gifts to help get you started:

1. Hunting Knife

Even if he has 20, a hunter can never have too many good hunting knives. Try any one of these top notch knives and you’ll be good to go!

2. Socks

Socks, especially in the colder weather, are crucial. They also have a tendency to  wear out quickly, which means hunters need lots of them. There are thousands of hunting socks on the market, but some good places to start are here, here and here.

3. A Thermos

Keeping liquids hot or cold is a crucial part of a happy hunting experience.  Here’s a great place to start when looking for a good, sturdy thermos.

4. Flashlight

Being able to see when it’s dark comes in very handy on hunting excursions. Flashlights can get a little pricey, so make sure you get one that will last and is worth the money.

5. Gear Bags/Packs

Hunters carry a lot of stuff, which means we need a place to put it. Like flashlights, these can be a bit pricey, so make sure to do your research. Here’s a great resource to help you get started!

Depending on what your loved one hunts, not everything on this list will apply. This will help you get your holiday shopping started though. Good luck!
