Each year the federal government auctions antlers that are dropped from elk wintering over at the National Elk Refuge at Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This year antlers netted $131,305. The winning bids averaged $15.43 per pound. Four tons of antlers were sold this year — an amazing haul for wildlife officials.
